Disney-DirecTV Contractual Dispute
As of September 1st, 2024, Disney and DirecTV have been unable to renew their contract with each other and, unfortunately, DirecTV is no longer permitted by Disney to broadcast Disney-owned channels. This impacts some local and national channels, including ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, Nat Geo, etc.
This type of outage is the result of a contractual dispute between programming companies like Disney and distributors like cable companies, DirecTV, etc. Unfortunately for consumers, this is a frustrating albeit fairly rare event.
We understand how important these channels are to you and your residents. Programming will return immediately once the parties resolve their issues.
While many news outlets are covering this story, you can also check for updates at DIRECTV.com/tvpromise. Additionally, you can explore other programming options currently available in your channel lineup by visiting DIRECTV.com/forbusiness.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
