Job description

We are actively seeking a customer-focused Help Desk Support Specialist to join our technical support team, focusing on providing exceptional assistance to clients experiencing difficulties with their headend equipment, including Direct TV satellites, cable channels, and RF signal systems. This role is crucial for maintaining high customer satisfaction through efficient problem-solving and effective communication. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in IT support, with a special emphasis on telecommunications and satellite/cable TV technologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Using a ticketing system to track, record, and communicate requests.
  • Troubleshoots and resolve problems related to headend hardware and software.
  • Work through the problem-solving process with end-users, empowering them to do the same in the future.
  • Accurately document repair steps and summaries using company CRM program

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Take initiative, be organized, and possess a good attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with basic network concepts (e.g., TCP IP, Windows Networking, Ethernet)
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in teams and in a team environment
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Employs a methodical approach to troubleshooting, effectively breaking down complex issues into manageable parts and exploring various solutions until the problem is resolved.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma with 2 years experience in Customer Service (Associate Degree is a Plus) with an emphasis on Tech related skills
  • Experience in a help desk environment
  • Satellite/RF Experience is a plus
